Question for you if you live in South Africa.?auto protect
I usually fix it myself. I'm not afraid of replacing motherboards, drives or anything else. If I know what part is faulty I don't need a techie.
I phone my "guy" and he fixes it just fine. Does not charge an arm and a leg. I have never had a problem with the company i use for my repairs.
I'm a technician myself... We do call out but some of our client still bring their computers to our store (we charge R50 - 70.00 less if you bring your computer in). For basic labour most South African IT companies charge R120.00 - R220.00 which is resonable I think. We all have to make a living
Call outs responses are often done in less than 3hours and you're charged extra (exact amount) for a device/component that had to be replaced.
I hope this help...
I can pick up the phone during working hours and within two hours my P.C will have been repaired. My neighbour is my tech. He's good and not frightfully expensive. There are quite a few technicians in my area that are quite reliable.
I live in P E and I have had my PC repaired a few times.
When I first got it the company ( Anstec) came out and helped me at home. And then some time later it needed cleaning . Then I just took it to them. I am very happy with the work done.
