Computer wont read windows setup disk?

im missing a file WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM so I need to put in windows setup to repair it but it wont do anything when the disk is in also on the advanced menu sceen above safe mode there is nothing displayed that says repair mode how do I make my computer read this disk at no point in time on the load up can I type anything in either.

Change your boot sequence so that your first boot device is cdrom



then use your XP install cd when your computer is booting then you can go repair mode but dont try if you dont know how to

Your going to need to format you hard drive and re-install Windows.



When starting you PC hit F2 or the Delete button... you need to change you "Boot Sequence" to the CD-Rom drive.



Save and exit....



On startup it's say "Boot from CD" or something like that... follow instructions from there.



You best just take it to a computer shop if you not good with computers.
