I have 2001 Ford Focus and the check engine light came on recently. I took it to a Valvoline place and the computer said that the EGR needed repaired. My question is, will driving my car with the EGR broken for a short period of time damage my engine?

You can drive it like that for a short period of time. Dont just assume it's the egr valve because an egr code comes up. Over 75 percent of the time it's not the egr valve causing the light to come on so be careful.

no problem..but try to clean it..and save 4 new one
