First of all, I just did system restore on an old computer. Am awaiting help with upgrading the spyware program i was using before (restore made me lose ability to auto-upgrade), so right now, my computer is, well, a little sick. I am connecting to the internet at 56k. Sometimes, (using IE) my browser will appear as thought the server is down. It is kind of hit and miss. Sometimes it will load and sometimes it will just give me the "The page cannot be displayed blah blah blah" page. It took me like 30 minutes just to get it to work long enough to post this question. I also have a suspicious program IPV7.exe that will not go away. I've tried ending it and deleting it's file. Although, I've opened it in Notepad and deleted all the characters and saved it, and it will not repair itself. I don't know if that actually fixes it, but I tried.
I am not sure what is wrong with my computer.?internet security
It certainly sounds like a bug! download the free Windows defender and see if it cleans it up. Also, download the Yahoo bar and use the free antispyware that comes with it. Over and above the above, you could also do what I recommend below and see if your problem is solved.
Good luck.
HOW TO DO A THOROUGH CLEAN UP:
Before doing any of the maintenance steps outlined below make sure that your system is free from viruses and/or of any other undesirable Internet bugs, by running a thorough security scan of your machine.
