I need a fast decision. Now the thing is...I am not puting down the food service industry...
I have an A.A. Degree...I also have a Substitute Teacher certificate...I am still going through the process of getting my paperwork together to become a substitute teacher.
The substitute teacher job would pay more money but I do not know how "steady" employment would be.
Also, my college major (and intended career) will be computer repair and graphic design. Once I finish my Bachelor's degree. I am skilled in Graphic Design and PC troubleshooting. If I start working as a substitute teacher (and the hours are not enough) then I also (and possibly reguardless) would want to get a job in information technology doing troubleshooting.
The thing is that I was offered a job as a assistant manager for a very popular pizza place but I would have to drive a rather long distance to a training store for two weeks before I could start working at my own store.
Am I too "picky?" Or should I take the job?nortin
No, you are not being too picky!
If you are in school to better yourself, that's great and your family should be proud.
If you don't think this is the job for you, don't take it just to make everyone else happy. Your main concern is yourself. Keep looking, you will probably find something better. Have you tried any of the temp services in your area? They will find you work and if you don't like what you do you can keep looking until you find something. They will probably also be able to help you find substitute teacher jobs.
Good luck and stay true to yourself.
