How do I fix the wireless internet connection on my computer?

I did a disk clean up on my computer, then the computer loses some applications so I can't see my start button or icons, I put in the repair disk to fix the computer, it works but now I can't get a wireless connection. The light IS on and it's not that there isn't a connection in my area because my mother's laptop is connecting. When I click on the "view your connections screen" the "connect" button, "advanced

" button, and every thing else besides the "cancel" button is faded out and a bubble on the bar pops up that says "wireless connection unavailable"

Did u check wireless network settings on your network adapter.U can find it when u right click to My Network Places on your desktop.And right click again on wrl.card then check wireless connection tab.I think it loosed wireless names and other settings there.

It can be fixed let me say the off the bat, your computer has lost its settings. Let me look it up I had the same problem, I think its in your wireless connection setup wizard in the control panel under network and internet connections.
