it keeps getting stuck and now I can't get it open. It makes noise like its opening but it doesn't. I really don't want to take it to a repair shop but I may have to anyone know a trick to getting it to open.

there is a little button that you can press with a pointy object like a pen or pencil, its on the cd drive, look on there it looks like a little reset button for a gameboy, press and hold that for a second. you might alos try going to best buy and buying another cd drive for like 20 bucks, opening up the computer, taking out the old one, and put the connections on the same spot on your new one.

Like thomas d said, your best bet would be to buy a new drive. They are fairly cheap and easy to install. If it's making noises, it's probably broken anyway.
