Computer virus......help needed?

l have a problem with my computer which l think l cant use any longer...anytime l switch it on there is a red sign pop up

that your computer is infected and in danger ! l cant open any site when this appears everything is block completely

is my computer now useless ? how can l repair and remove the infections?how can l open a page as this doesnt allow me to go on line.?

You need to figure out which virus you have. Get on another machine and connect to the internet to see what steps need to be taken to rid the machine of the virus.

It sounds like you may have Spysheriff. Download Spybot search and Destrop and it will get rid of it.
its so easy to get infected,i have been using p.c,s for years and only recently got infected

by the sounds of it the red pop up sign is a windows security alert infoeming you that your computer is at risk,this may be because your current anti-virus is out-of-date

if this is the case you can click this box and you will then be given recommendations on what to do,and also a link to some free anti-virus downloads from microsoft

however i would first check if your anti-virus is out of date,if it is and you no longer wish to use it then you need to uninstall this as any future anti-virus programs will conflict with it,you can uninstall it from control panel%26gt;add/remove programs
