On my laptop that has (xp windows) I have 2 versions of msn messenger, so I can sign in and someone else can sign in and we are both online except one of us is on an older msn and one is on a newer one. My other computer is only windows 2000 so is there anyway of downloading one more msn messenger, it always gives me the option to repair or replace,anyway aroud that?

Imagine you have version 7.2 on,find the 5.0 and install it somewhere else but I think you won't be able because MSN will detect an other version.You could try to install it on a USB key to but I never tried

Install another copy of the program using a different directory.
As long as you both are not logged in Windows at the same time, you both can use the same version and only need one copy of MSN Messenger. And if I remember right, only one version can be installed at a time. It will alwys prompt you to upgrade the existing version.
Not sure about having 2 versions of MSN Messenger but Windows Messenger and MSN Messenger can co-exist on the same computer thus allowing you to be signed into two different accounts. Windows Messenger came with the 2000 and XP operating systems. Go to Start, All Programs and see if Windows messenger is listed. If not, you can download it from Microsoft at the page below. Note the system requirements which state:
